Talking Therapies offer a range of beneficial groups and courses on-line that aim to help you better understand your feelings. If you are interested in finding out more about any of these groups or courses, please get in touch.

Take Control of Anxiety Course
A 5-week psycho-education course based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, each session lasting for two hours. The course is aimed at those experiencing mild to moderate levels of anxiety and/or panic. The course aims to increase understanding about symptoms and learn strategies to help with anxiety. You would not be asked to share anything, answer direct questions or give out any personal information.
Sleep Course
A 3-week course for 1 hour, for people who are having difficulties with their sleep; either sleeping too much or not sleeping at all. The course is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and aims to educate you around sleep and useful tips to help aid good sleep. You would not be asked to share anything, answer direct questions or give out any personal information.
Increasing Motivation & Mood Course
A 5-week course, each session lasting for 1 and a half hours, for people who are depressed / feeling down or lacking motivation, to get back to doing more activities and feel better in mood. Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy this course aims to help people recover from low mood & depression by finding ways to become more active again and start to enjoy life. You would not be asked to share anything, answer direct questions or give out any personal information.
Overcoming Worry Course
A 6-week course based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, each session lasting up to two hours. The course is aimed at those experiencing high levels of worry and anxiety. The course aims to increase understanding about worry and anxiety and how it can affect us, as well as using new learning to reduce worrying and overcome our anxiety. You would not be asked to share anything, answer direct questions or give out any personal information.
Interpersonal Therapy Group
An 8-week therapy group based on Interpersonal Therapy for people with depression and/or low self esteem; each session lasting for two hours. The group aims to increase understanding about depression and how it can affect us, understand how depression is maintained and learn new ways to improve depressed mood and put this learning into practice.
Mindfulness Course
An 8-week course based on Mindfulness Practice for people who wish to explore mindfulness as a way to manage stress and anxiety. Participants need to be willing to practice 6-7 days for 45 minutes during the course. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction uses meditation and yoga to help people become more aware of their thoughts, feelings and body sensations so that instead of being overwhelmed by then, they are better able to manage them. You would not be asked to share anything, answer direct questions or give out any personal information.
Post-Natal Group
An 8-week course for new mothers with babies up to 1 year old who are experiencing anxiety or depression, each session lasting 1.5 hours. The course is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help people understand their unhelpful beliefs or behaviours which contribute to their difficulties and to develop coping strategies to help people move forwards. It explores the challenges of new motherhood and how common expectations can contribute to low mood or anxiety. Babies are welcome! The course is delivered in a Children’s Centre with baby mats and toys and there are change facilities.
